Marie-Hélène Mertens (Murlss) is a visual editor and maker working across television, photography, film and graphic design.
Graduating in Film & Audiovisual Media, her foundation lies in documentary filmmaking and photography; disciplines that continue to shape the way she looks at images and stories.
Her work is driven by a curiosity for people and their unique narratives. She is drawn to themes of identity and to subjects that invite reflection, challenge perspectives and broaden the viewer’s gaze.
Across television and within her independent practice Murlss, she researches, shapes and creates visuals that strengthen story, atmosphere and meaning.
